Take your shopping list to the campus bookstore

If you are stressed for time to shop for holiday gifts, don’t look far. Georgia Perimeter College’s campus bookstores are a convenient shopping alternative to crowded malls.

While you may have sought out course-specific books during the semester, now is the time to branch out and check out the selection of bestsellers and cookbooks available at most bookstore locations. Children’s books and cookbooks are particularly good buys—most are about $5.95. “Pair that with a GPC teddy bear, and you are set,” says Jennifer Coggin, Follett course materials manager for the Clarkston, Dunwoody and Alpharetta campus bookstores.

The stores also offer great stocking stuffer ideas, from small cloth wallets to colorful memo pads to mugs; a cute travel mug is about $8.

Electronics, such as BEATS headphones, make great ideas for gifts for musical friends and family. Also, some bookstore locations offer a jewelry kiosk with earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

Don’t forget the GPC apparel for your gifts. The bookstores offer hoodies, sweatpants and even a jersey blanket emblazoned with the Jaguar logo. Right now there is a lot of clearance inventory in apparel at all bookstores. You can snap up a warm blanket for less than $20 at the Clarkston bookstore.
