As the next step in consolidating Georgia State and Georgia Perimeter, the USG Board of Regents has approved a mission statement to reflect the mission of the new institution.

Leaders from GPC and Georgia State are charged with overseeing and crafting the details of how the consolidated institution will operate.

During the next 18 months, the 42-member committee will begin crafting the mission statement, goals and direction of the new institution.

The committee, comprising 21 representatives from Georgia Perimeter and 21 from Georgia State, will have its first meeting Jan. 30.
