GPC/Georgia State consolidation meeting set Jan. 13

Georgia Perimeter College interim President Rob Watts will host a town hall meeting on the planned consolidation of GPC with Georgia State University at Dunwoody Campus on Tuesday, Jan. 13. The event will take place at 1 p.m. in the auditorium in C building, NC 1000.
Dr. Mark Becker, president of Georgia State, will join Watts to answer questions, along with Shelley Nickel, University System of Georgia vice chancellor for Planning and Implementation, who will oversee the merger process.
Arrangements to stream the meeting to the following locations are in place for those unable to attend in person:

Decatur SF 2100/2101
Dunwoody NB 2100/2101

Newton 2N 1100
The program also will be recorded and posted on the GPC Newsroom site following the presentation.
Becker will host a similar town hall meeting downtown at Georgia State the same day at 3:30 p.m.
In the next couple of weeks, the two institutions will create a joint consolidation website where the latest information will be posted and where additional questions can be submitted.
