GPC volunteers add a personal touch

Thirty-four GPC Newton Campus faculty, staff and student volunteers recently spent a day reaching out and calling more than 750 potential GPC students who had started their registration process, but for one reason or another, had not finished. The volunteers’ aim: to help guide the students through the final enrollment stages so they could register for classes.

“For many of these students, just one missing document was holding up the process,” says Keith Cobbs, GPC Newton Dean of Student Services.

Students were able to upload their immunization records, and 100 of them received the extra bonus of a fee waiver when they registered to take the Compass exam.
