Decatur art students create Medusa scarecrow for Atlanta exhibit

Her head is a mosaic of recycled materials; her snake-like hair is made of rubber tire chips, and her solar-powered eyes light up. Meet “Medusa” created by GPC students for the October Atlanta Botanical Garden scarecrow exhibit. Medusa's creators were students in the Georgia Perimeter Decatur Campus Art Club and Phil Mosier’s Drawing Arts class.(Special photo)

On The Set of "Neighbors 2"

Offering Dental Care to Seniors

Recently graduated and current GPC dental hygiene students spent time this summer providing free dental care to residents at the Brighton Gardens senior living facility in Dunwoody. GPC dental hygiene instructor Pamela Cushenan, shown here with a client, created the SOFT (Specialized Oral-Focused Training) Smiles program so that underserved populations would have greater access to dental services.
