Name: Kendall Chambers                                 

GPC experience: Current student and business major at GPC Clarkston Campus.

Favorite thing about GPC: All the different cultures and ethnicities on one campus: West African, East African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Islamic and hometown girls. There are lots of different head wraps in one place.

Plans to continue education: I will spend my whole life learning, whether or not I am in college. Education does not stop when school does. With that being said, if anyone out there wants to pay for my schooling, please contact me because these loans DO stop. 

Professional goals: To accomplish anything to which I set my mind.

Interesting thing about me: I’m a self-published author. My book, “BDR” or “Black Dixie Roi,” is about a Southern black man navigating the rough terrain of life.

Personal goals: To bring back Freaknik full force to Atlanta—a safer Freaknik, though. I’ll make it priority that if you’re here to have fun and stay safe, you won’t be in any danger.

Hometown: I have lived from Atlanta to DeKalb to Rockdale, my stomping ground (much love to Los Angeles County and Memphis as well).

Favorite place: Figure 8 on Campbellton Road was my favorite place. If you had ever been to the 8, you would know why.

Favorite book: “A King in Haiti”

Favorite movie: One of them is “The Inkwell” with Jada Pinkett.

Most influential person in my life: My brothers: they’re always there for me, no matter what.

Leisure activities: Make art, listen to some good music or just hanging with my peoples. Also, I’m a Radric Davis (aka Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane) supporter. I have different layers like an onion, only I smell better and have more melanin.

Pet peeve: If I tell you, you’re going to start doing it. That’s a trick question. You almost got me.
