Name: Pablo R. Conde Pedroso

Job: Chemistry lab supervisor, four years at Clarkston and four years as a lab technician at Dunwoody.

Favorite thing about working at GPC: I recognize the value of education, because of the impact that it makes in my life. Working for GPC gives me the opportunity to contribute to the education of others.

Education/work background: Master of science from the University of Louisville. I worked in electroanalytical chemistry research at MCT and at Georgia Tech.

Hometown/current residence: Originally from Santa Clara, Cuba, I now live in Atlanta.

Favorite place and why: The pyramid of Egypt because of its beauty, technological enigma and perfection.

Favorite book: “Autobiography of a Yogi” by Paramahansa Yogananda. It describes the self-realization journey of Mukunda Lal Ghosh to become Paramahansa Yogananda.

Favorite movie: “The Matrix Trilogy”

Professional goals: To work in research and development. I want to incorporate modern technology into the chemistry lab and develop new analytical methods.

Most influential person in my life and why: Pythagoras of Samos, because of his invaluable contributions to science and philosophy.

Leisure activities: I go to the gym regularly and to my meditation center mostly on weekends. I participate in chanting to improve the wellbeing of the body and mind and for spiritual relaxation. Chanting leads to self-realization and provides fellowship. (Pedroso gave a demonstration of a meditation chant at a recent college event.)

Most interesting thing about me: I always strive for harmony.
