Sophomore point guard Caleb Hayes was the Jaguars’ top scorer, averaging 12.4 points per game.

 

Caleb Hayes and Shane Henry received honorable mention awards on the All-Conference men’s basketball team named early in March by the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.

 

Henry also was named to the five-player All-Freshman team.

 

A sophomore point guard, Hayes led the Jaguars in scoring with a 12.4-points-per-game average. He ranked eighth in the GCAA with a 36.4 percentage for 3-point shots.

Shane Henry led the conference in field goal percentage, making 58.6 percent of his shots.

He also led the Jaguars in assists (4.0 per game) and steals (1.8 per game). His assist total tied him with Atlanta Metro’s Saiquan Terry for 11th in the GCAA.

 

Henry, a freshman forward, led the GCAA in field goal percentage, 58.6 percent, with 119 baskets in 203 attempts.

 

GPC’s second top scorer, with 9.4 points per game, Henry was sixth in the conference in blocked shots, with 48, a 1.7 average. On the boards, his 199 rebounds, 6.9 per game, paced the Jaguars and placed him 11th in the league.

 

The Jaguars finished the season 17-14 overall and had an 11-9 fifth-place record in the GCAA, which is Region 17 of the National Junior College Athletic Association..

 

Sophomore guard Julian Reese was the team’s third highest scorer with 9 points per game.
