Every year since 2004, the Georgia Perimeter College men’s soccer team has placed one or more players on the All-America team named by the National Junior College Athletic Association. Freshman forward Molham Babouli continued the strong tradition in 2011.

Babouli was selected to the All-America second team after leading the Jaguars in scoring with 49 points (17 goals, 15 assists), the second highest in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association and 17th in the nation.

The Jaguars finished 15-6-1, losing to Darton College 4-3 in double overtime in the final of the league tournament. Babouli scored two goals in the championship match, including a thriller that led to overtime.

It was a tough loss for the Jaguars, after making the nationals in six of the past eight years.

“We went out with heart. We gave it everything we had,” said GPC head coach Marc Zagara.

Freshmen Ross Nelson and Jordan Dunston made the All-GCAA team, along with Babouli. Babouli also was selected to the conference all-tournament team, along with two other freshmen, Danny Seabrook and Brayan Rodriguez, the league’s third-highest scorer, who is also 24th in the nation.
